THE PEDICAB PROJECT
The Pedicab Project records, preserves, and shares American oral histories collected from interviews within community through a series of pedicab rides physically operated by community artist, Michelle Nugent. The Pedicab Project explores the artist’s own cultural heritage (being a half-white, half-Filipino American) as an influence on her artwork, and offers a platform for passengers to share their own stories relating, but not limited to, race, culture, and heritage.
